Ya know you're getting old when...

You have one of those "pill-minders" to keep track of your meds.

I remember we teased my mom years ago when she first got a pill-minder and now I have one of my very own. And I only take a couple of meds a day! I take my Toprol for my heart (one half, twice a day), of course. Then I take my 81mg low dose aspirin every day. Plus a Caltrate twice a day. You'd think that would be pretty easy to keep track of, but guess again. The memory is SHOT, ladies!

Let's see...what else...

Oh, I got the cutest phone call last night. McKenna is on the phone and says "Aunt Deb, I don't have my binky NO MORE!" I told her what a big girl she was and I asked what she'd done with her binky this time. "I frow it in the trash!" like I'm supposed to know that. While I visited out there, that poor binky went through the ringer a few times. Once, it fell in the potty. Numerous times, it was thrown in the dirt and gravel in the yard. A few times, I told her "You don't need that old binky...go throw it in the trash." and she'd say "Okay..." and head to the trashcan. A minute later, she'd come back, binky hanging out of her mouth. It made many trips through the dishwasher, I can tell you that. But yeah...she's so smart, she knew it was time to give up her friend.

Cute kid stories...I've got a lot of them, but I'll not swamp you with them all at once. LOL

It's a beautiful weekend here and we've got a ton of stuff to do, beginning with clearing brush and limbs and stuff up at my mom's house. She has a showing this morning at 11, so I guess I'd better get motivated and wake up the Homer. I'd let him sleep in, but he runs the chainsaw.

Awww that's a cute kid story! LOL

How'd the clean up go at your Mom's? I hope she gets a sale soon.

It's been cold and cloudy here. I would rather have it this way than the terrible summer heat that's supposed to be coming.... :o(

The clean up went well. With 4 of us working (yes, the chainsaw wielding nephew was there!) we cleaned up a few big brush piles in no time. There's still a lot to do, but I don't want to do too much. If she gets an offer on the place, I'll let the new owners clean up their own yard! lol
It was gorgeous here yesterday and it's supposed to be the same today, but a little warmer. Mandy came to me last night and asked if I'd help her put her AC in her window...Uhm, NO! It's only April. It'd be nice to have a month or two in between seasons that we don't have $250 electric bills. We have fans...use one of those, for cryin' out loud!

Keep comfy Jude!

We're supposed to get close to 70 degrees here tomorrow. I'm okay with that, but any warmer and I'm moving to the North Friggin' Pole. LOL I wish now we had gotten an AC unit that fits into a window. The portable is nice but you have to be able to vent it. (comes with a dryer hose-like attachment) With our new windows that hose doesn't work, and hubby STILL hasn't done anything about it. Been 2 yrs. now! EFFING MEN!!!!

Oh and I forgot to say earlier, I've had a pill thingy for a few years now, with the 7 days of the week. It helps me remember to take my Lipitor, daily low dose Aspirin, and Calcium supplement every day. Cuz my one remaining brain cell doesn't happen to be a memory one. LOL

Lipitor...eww. That's rough on the digestive system. I was supposed to start taking Zocor, but DAYUM, that stuff's 'spensive! Luckily, I can get my heart meds at Walmart, the generic is only $4. Whew! I lucked out there.
Make the hubby buy you a winder AC unit. Fucking men, anyway.
